Play Dolls Not Make Boys So Feminine

Doll or toy cooking equipment is identical girls as a toy. No wonder so many parents are taboo as their boys to play with both of these types of toys. They do not want "little guy" changed so feminine.

In fact, according to child psychologist from the Institute of Applied Psychology, University of Indonesia Vera Itabiliana Hadiwidjojo, dolls would not make boys into fenimin. Especially for boys as young as toddlers.

"Children under five, one to five years, is in a period of exploration that should not be segregated. If it likes to play dolls, not be banned," he said in a talk show "Play ... More Than IQ Main" on Thursday (3/7 / 2014) in Jakarta.

 

But that does not happen as feared, Vera suggest that there is assistance when children play. For example, each child playing with dolls, parents teach the boys to act as his father.

"That way the child learns his role as a man supposed to do," he said.

Parents do not have to worry if the trend of play doll still persist after the age of five. As children get older, usually custom dolls will disappear by itself.

Although letting boys play dolls, gender values ​​must be embedded in the daily life from an early age to the child. Vera pointed out, when a boy dressed in trousers, praise with the words "handsome", and so on.

Forbid children to play, especially without giving the sense and reason will only make children curious to continue to play. This principle also applies to girls.
